Practice ACT and Mediocrity
There are no other words to describe this week other than perfunctory and somewhat progressive. This week may have had only 4 school days, but the anxiety built up during the 4 day weekend crossed over and made it feel like this week was more than 4 days. The only highlights of my life during this week was getting Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing, watching animation shorts of Vimeo, some of which are very professional and exceptional, inching closer to the finish line in Project 2 and the practice ACT. Other than that, this week is a filler that needs more action sequences like in Die Hard or even Die Hard 2. It amazes me that the film Die Hard actually managed to spawn a film series. So about computer programming, Project 2 is actually harder than I thought it would be, especially building the bars. Most of my difficulty was in this part of the project. I wish there were more examples of the projects though. It would really help me, or not depends on whether I'm capable of even thinking next week. And that's it for this week.

4th 6 weeks is finally over....
Another 12 weeks of school left to go and then it is another 6 weeks of ACC in the summer. My enthusiasm for life has not disappeared completed. I made nearly straight A's, except for an 89 in English, but then again English is always the class that is the wild card. Mainly because my writing talent fluctuates depending on my level of nervousness. Argh, I do not want to go to school anymore. However, next year is going to be better because I plan to have as much off periods and teacher aides as my classes. Now on the subject of computer programming, I am a little mad that computer programming will have tri credit, on a relationship with UT and ACC, NEXT YEAR. I wonder if I will receive credit as well. Now that I'm on project 2, I am starting to have the hang of Python, but some parts are hard to interpret like what to put in the lines following the for or while loop. I am not that creative of a person which means I lack ways to approach a problem. However, if I am given hints along the way, or examples, then of course I can accomplish the goal but that is to be expected. Frankly, I am glad we have a four day weekend to unwind from school and the six weeks because I am so close to losing it. Well, that's all for this week, I hope next week is better.

Ugh unlucky week
This week has been full of misses and no homeruns. I'm sort of like a baseball player who has the yips and can't seem to get out of a rut. However, I guess the only that was good is that I finally bought Adobe CS5.5 for a whopping $400 thanks to the student and teacher package. Now I can make cartoons again, although they are really bad and amateurish. In any case, I am hoping that the next week won't be so bad because in all truth, I'm not prepared for any of my classes. The amount of homework is staggering and it has been building up. To be frank, I am stressed out and so nervous. Other than that, in computer programming I am probably going to fail that quiz because I do not think I will do so well. Python is going to be a wild card for me. I have not finished lab 5 yet because it is surprisingly very hard. I have not started the project yet either so it is going to end badly for me either way. I believe the phrase is that I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't. The world can be so cruel sometimes. Well I've got to put in some effort, and hope it turns out for the best. That's all for this week, sigh.

Indepth with python
Sigh, I wonder how many days of school are left? I am already thinking about summer and how it is going to suck because my mother is forcing me to go back to Vietnam to meet relatives. I constantly tell her that I do not want to go because I want to start ACC classes early to get US Government and Macro-economics out of the way for senior year. All I know is that we have 4 months left until junior year is over and I can't wait. Now onto python, I am surprised that I finished the Python project on time. This is probably because Sam helped me out. I definitely learn better in a group than by myself. I would be down in the dumps if I didn't have some help.Well other than that, I am finally getting the hang of python thanks to codingbat but even I have trouble now then again. Mainly because there is some things that we have not gone through yet, but it's fine. Sort of. I just need to finish 2 more on the warm up page and 4 other stuff to get the extra credit. I'm almost there, but not really.

And so another week goes by...
Except this week, I had the stupid SAT on saturday. It was the most boring and longest test I ever had. It amazes me that I got through those 4 hours. Now, I need to take the ACT in the near future which means that my weekend for that week is going to be ruined then. There goes my social life, haha I forgot I do not have one. However, I am glad that SOPA and PIPA are stalled for now. I do not know what I would do if those passed through Congress other than screaming frantically about pictures to use for projects. Curse you politicians, you've restricted my right to drink alcohol until I"m 21 and my driving rights. But I will not allow you to take my freedom of speech. Oh dear god, I hope the government isn't reading this, I take it all back, I didn't mean it. Well now on the topic of Computer Programming, I find it hard to write and run code because of simple mistakes. I mistook a 0 for an O. How stupid is that? Now all I need to do is finish that Angry Bird Project, which will probably take me a long time because I cannot seem to trust my own actions when writing code. One day, Python, I will conquer you and force you to write a program that creates pictures of dogs and changes them into transmuted potatoes. Oh wait, that's photoshop, my mistake. And I am now done venting about my abilities. That is enough for this week, and I hope the next week will be better.

Short Week but so many B days
For once in my life, I genuinely believed that a 4 day week is long. B days are always the bane of my existence, well actually school is the bane of my existence. Well in any case, I am burned out already and school seems so long or at least this year/semester. I want to cry because the SAT is on Jan 28th which means that next week is going to be the worst week of my life. That and ACC sign up is on Jan 30th. And now about Python, I need to be really careful to realize that // makes an integer and / makes a floating number. That is why I missed questions. On the quiz, I also forgot that you can put several arguments in a single line. foolish me. But now that we are going to have a quiz over input, eval, more calculations next class, my life has never seemed so hard. At times Python is confusing because I don't know the structure very well and I"m also confused on what to do on the labs sometimes. I am very glad that Sam helps me though, if not for him I would be lagging behind. I don't want to be behind, such a thing scares me the most. Hopefully the 30 min review will help me out a bit...and hopefully enough to get me by in this class. Curse my lack of comprehension. I'm still confused about the RETURN statement, I believe it's to get out of the function and returns with a value? I need to look at the slide again.... And that's it for this week.

First blog post of Spring Semester
This year is starting off really slowly, and I really want this year to end now. My enthusiasm and eagerness sort of died after winter break. But enough with my banter, Python does not seem similar to Jeroo at all or at least to me. Python seems to use different words and commands. I also still don't know what is the difference between Java and Python. Lately it would seem that Stats and French are taking up most of my time and I can't even seem to do other things. I should've dropped both of these classes. That way I can at least glimpse of tutorials of programming. Eh whatever, I still have the SAT coming up so I can't even do that. Argh I hate my life...sad face. And it would seem that like I digressed again, so after this week of learning about Python and its basics. I am proud to say that I am somewhat mediocre at the language. Okay make that bad- "mediocre-ish" or just plain awful. At least I"m trying to learn, that's what counts.
