Ugh unlucky week
This week has been full of misses and no homeruns. I'm sort of like a baseball player who has the yips and can't seem to get out of a rut. However, I guess the only that was good is that I finally bought Adobe CS5.5 for a whopping $400 thanks to the student and teacher package. Now I can make cartoons again, although they are really bad and amateurish. In any case, I am hoping that the next week won't be so bad because in all truth, I'm not prepared for any of my classes. The amount of homework is staggering and it has been building up. To be frank, I am stressed out and so nervous. Other than that, in computer programming I am probably going to fail that quiz because I do not think I will do so well. Python is going to be a wild card for me. I have not finished lab 5 yet because it is surprisingly very hard. I have not started the project yet either so it is going to end badly for me either way. I believe the phrase is that I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't. The world can be so cruel sometimes. Well I've got to put in some effort, and hope it turns out for the best. That's all for this week, sigh.

Indepth with python
Sigh, I wonder how many days of school are left? I am already thinking about summer and how it is going to suck because my mother is forcing me to go back to Vietnam to meet relatives. I constantly tell her that I do not want to go because I want to start ACC classes early to get US Government and Macro-economics out of the way for senior year. All I know is that we have 4 months left until junior year is over and I can't wait. Now onto python, I am surprised that I finished the Python project on time. This is probably because Sam helped me out. I definitely learn better in a group than by myself. I would be down in the dumps if I didn't have some help.Well other than that, I am finally getting the hang of python thanks to codingbat but even I have trouble now then again. Mainly because there is some things that we have not gone through yet, but it's fine. Sort of. I just need to finish 2 more on the warm up page and 4 other stuff to get the extra credit. I'm almost there, but not really.

And so another week goes by...
Except this week, I had the stupid SAT on saturday. It was the most boring and longest test I ever had. It amazes me that I got through those 4 hours. Now, I need to take the ACT in the near future which means that my weekend for that week is going to be ruined then. There goes my social life, haha I forgot I do not have one. However, I am glad that SOPA and PIPA are stalled for now. I do not know what I would do if those passed through Congress other than screaming frantically about pictures to use for projects. Curse you politicians, you've restricted my right to drink alcohol until I"m 21 and my driving rights. But I will not allow you to take my freedom of speech. Oh dear god, I hope the government isn't reading this, I take it all back, I didn't mean it. Well now on the topic of Computer Programming, I find it hard to write and run code because of simple mistakes. I mistook a 0 for an O. How stupid is that? Now all I need to do is finish that Angry Bird Project, which will probably take me a long time because I cannot seem to trust my own actions when writing code. One day, Python, I will conquer you and force you to write a program that creates pictures of dogs and changes them into transmuted potatoes. Oh wait, that's photoshop, my mistake. And I am now done venting about my abilities. That is enough for this week, and I hope the next week will be better.

Short Week but so many B days
For once in my life, I genuinely believed that a 4 day week is long. B days are always the bane of my existence, well actually school is the bane of my existence. Well in any case, I am burned out already and school seems so long or at least this year/semester. I want to cry because the SAT is on Jan 28th which means that next week is going to be the worst week of my life. That and ACC sign up is on Jan 30th. And now about Python, I need to be really careful to realize that // makes an integer and / makes a floating number. That is why I missed questions. On the quiz, I also forgot that you can put several arguments in a single line. foolish me. But now that we are going to have a quiz over input, eval, more calculations next class, my life has never seemed so hard. At times Python is confusing because I don't know the structure very well and I"m also confused on what to do on the labs sometimes. I am very glad that Sam helps me though, if not for him I would be lagging behind. I don't want to be behind, such a thing scares me the most. Hopefully the 30 min review will help me out a bit...and hopefully enough to get me by in this class. Curse my lack of comprehension. I'm still confused about the RETURN statement, I believe it's to get out of the function and returns with a value? I need to look at the slide again.... And that's it for this week.

First blog post of Spring Semester
This year is starting off really slowly, and I really want this year to end now. My enthusiasm and eagerness sort of died after winter break. But enough with my banter, Python does not seem similar to Jeroo at all or at least to me. Python seems to use different words and commands. I also still don't know what is the difference between Java and Python. Lately it would seem that Stats and French are taking up most of my time and I can't even seem to do other things. I should've dropped both of these classes. That way I can at least glimpse of tutorials of programming. Eh whatever, I still have the SAT coming up so I can't even do that. Argh I hate my life...sad face. And it would seem that like I digressed again, so after this week of learning about Python and its basics. I am proud to say that I am somewhat mediocre at the language. Okay make that bad- "mediocre-ish" or just plain awful. At least I"m trying to learn, that's what counts.

Nearing the End of the Semester: A look back
A semester has already past, that sure was fast, but then again no one really notices. A semester in Computer Programming, looking back on it, how did I ever survive? First of all, I'm not that good at problem solving by myself, which is why I'm more like a rock who does great in group work. Working in HTML was sort of fun because we made a basic web page with links, those were the days. Then we moved onto Scratch, another irksome program cause someone here had a problem with it. However, that was when we were introduced to "and" and "or" which made things a little easier to comprehend when we eventually moved onto Jeroo and eventually onto Python. However, I say "a little easier" because I still had difficulty with the program. My luck with computers has still not gotten any better. Yet I'm trying and getting the hang of it. I pray one day when I'll be able to do things without an error. Ah, who am I kidding? I'm going to get a bunch of errors in one line. But I can still dream. Talking of dreaming, working in Jeroo has made me dream of flowers, water and nets. Although, to be honest, the nets look like brick walls in my opinion. How they ever came to be known as nets is a mystery to me. Jeroo is my worst enemy at times and at other times, it's that jerk of a friend who occasionally helps me and then leaves me on my own, but helps me out again. I shall tame you Jeroo, one day. By the way, I still do not know what a Jeroo looks like, I've been imagining it as a kangaroo except it has an arrow for a head instead. That is also very creepy now that I realize it. Back on the topic, the final exam on Jeroo is coming up, and my nerves have not gotten any better. I'm just hoping it isn't too hard of a problem, cause if it is, I'm just going to cry or yell, although I probably won't. Events sure pass by in computer programming don't it? The most vivid thing that I can remember is David saying "ghost mouse," I swear if he says that one more time, I am going to revenge, that or keep calling him a jerk. Hmmm, I wonder if Python is going to be just as hard as Jeroo? It uses the same language, so I guess it will be similar, although I doubt that there is going to be an arrowhead, flowers, nets and water. After Python, I really want to start working on Java, mainly because it seems to be the most well known mainstream language. I guess that's it for this week, and of my reflection of the fall semester.

This week is stressful
My goodness, I almost forgot to do this week's blog post, good thing I remembered. Jeroo is becoming a major pain in my side, sometimes it's easy and other times it is harder. Sometimes, now in my dreams, I see flowers and nets in front of me. What's worse is that I keep running in a circle! I can not seem to get this ineptitude out of my head. At least I am almost done with lab 5. Frankly, I do not know I even got this far. It's probably thanks to David, and Sam. However, I managed to do some labs without them which makes me proud of myself. I just wish I could do that more often like at the time of the Final. Dear lord, I hope it isn't too hard. Lab 5C is difficult by itself, I think I'll have to think my way around this. The only thing that's really hard is that I have to have those preconditions which is really screwing me over. I got so close, but then the Jeroo turns around. I wanted to scream and then kill my Jeroo by making it drown. The funny thing was that it took me 5 minutes to do that. Jeroo is obviously not my strong suit, but I'll try to get it done, and hopefully it won't turn out so bad. Let's just keep believing in that.... Alright that's it for this week.
